Hayes Kanyike

Gainsapp Creator & Founder

Hayes Kanyike is the creator and founder of GainsApp - the first mobile app that connects, entertains and rewards the fitness community. The future of connected fitness, GainsApp invites users worldwide to compete in live fitness challenges, judge said challenges or even place bets on those competing, all in effort to earn real cash.

Prior to founding GainsApp, Kanyike earned his personal trainer certification in 2010 before founding and operating Hayes4Fitness in 2014 - a full-service fitness studio offering one-on-one personal training and coaching in addition to holistic living resources. Membership included access to registered nutritionists, chiropractors and mental wellness counseling by psychotherapists, guiding clients to improved health both inside and out. The studio earned its following and reputation by serving members looking to enhance their overall wellbeing, rather than offering overly-expensive or unnecessary gym amenities like the rest of the fitness club industry. In addition to a full suite of wellness offerings, Hayes4Fitness served as a watering hole for the community, bringing together clientele from all walks of life who share the same goal for self-improvement in all forms - and GainsApp represents the next step in community building in today's digital age.

Kanyike also initiated a partnership with a Brooklyn-based high-rise real estate developer to become the exclusive provider of gym and wellness amenities in residential buildings across multiple New York boroughs. Exclusively available for building residents, the fitness centers offered the latest in IoT (Internet of Things) technology, allowing members to track all aspects of their fitness journeys through real-time monitoring. Similar to Hayes4Fitness, all members of these facilities also had full access to a registered nutritionist, chiropractor and psychotherapist as part of a holistic approach to managing one's health.

Kanyike was sought out as an expert in the field to provide fitness services to clients including the U.S. Army Reserves, New York State of Corrections, Marist College, City of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County Tourism and multiple school districts across New York, among others.

In effort to enhance his local community and advise on city development, Kanyike volunteered with a two-year term commitment on the City of Poughkeepsie Common Council's Waterfront Advisory Committee. His volunteer efforts didn't stop there, as he has also shared his time and personal interest to a number of organizations including Wappingers School, Brother to Brother, US Army Reserves and Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce.

Kanyike epitomizes what it means to be an entrepreneur, having forged his own path in business and life with no end on sight and leaning on his strong work ethic, proficiency in technology and financial acumen to build a strong portfolio of assets. Kanyike continues to develop technologies that improve all aspects of the human condition encompassing physical, mental and emotional wellness.

Originally from Kampala, Uganda, Kanyike immigrated to the United States as a refugee at 11 years old. He currently resides in Bergen County, New Jersey, and is a proud father to four children.
